Obverse

Features "Sigaw ng Himagsikan", a scene that brings to mind the struggle for independence and the cry of defiance against Spanish tyranny by Andres Bonifacio and his Katipunero on .

Reverse

Features the glorious and triumphant scene of the Proclamation of the Philippine Independence by General Emilio Aguinaldo on in Kawit, Cavite. It was on this occasion that the Philippine flag, made by Marcela Agoncillo, was unfurled while the national anthem, composed by Julian Felipe, was played.

Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Philippine independence. It was presented to the public by Philippine Centennial Commission on at Heroes Hall, Malacañang Palace.

Remarks

The 100,000-piso Centennial Commemorative Notes - measuring 215.9mm x 355.6mm (8.5in x 14in), it is the biggest legal tender issued by the BSP, both in terms of face value and dimension. Only 1,000 notes were issued on the occasion of the Philippine Centennial Year. Recorded as the biggest note during that time in the Guinness World Record.
