The 200-piso note features President Diosdado P. Macapagal, who moved the country's Independence Day Celebration from to . It also features the Aguinaldo shrine, where the declaration of the first Philippine independence was held on . The 200 piso has a see-through perfect register code for the blind and micro-printing of "Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas" on top of the lacework designs at the face of the note. Security Features
Portrait watermark that can be seen when viewed against the light. Broken security thread arranged in a vertical line. Windowed security thread, vertically located like "stiches" at the obverse of the note with clear text of the denomination in repeated sequence and changes in color from magenta to green or vice versa depending on the angle of view. Iridescent band of wide glistening gold vertical stripe with the numerical value printed in series. Red and blue visible fibers all over the note and invisible fluorescent printing
Overprint
The Tongues of Fire is the official logo for the quadricentennial celebration. It features the outline of the UST Main Building Tower as a concrete symbol of the stability, integrity and 400 years of existence of the university. From the cross of the Main Building emanate four tongues of fire that spell out U, S, and T. The tongues of fire reference the future of the university and some ideals, and are reminiscent of the stripes of the Tiger, the school's mascot.
