Born on 10th of April in Matimbo, Malolos, 1866. Son of Florencio Torres and Maria Dayao. Finished his secondary education at the Kolehiyo San Juan de Letran and his Bachelor's degree at the University of Santo Tomas. Served as the Cabeza de Barangay for three years, 1890 - 1892. Joined the Katipunan, 1892 and known as "Matang Lawin" (Hawk Eye), took part in various battles at the bridge of Bagbag, Kalumpit, San Rafael, Binakod and Barasoain, 1896 - 1899. Attained the rank of Colonel when the fighting raged around Biak-na-Bato, 1897. Member of the Malolos Congress, 1898. Became the Gobernador Militar de la Plaza with the rank of Brigadier General 1898. Established guerilla Forces when Malolos fell into the hands of General MacArthur, 31st of March, 1899. Served as Justice of the Peace of San Antonio, Nueva Ecija 1909 - 1912. Died on the 5th of December, 1928
